DAY 1 : MARRAKECH
Pick up at the airport in Marrakech. Drop the luggage off at the riad, Freshen up and rest. Go out and visit Marrakech on your own. Dinner and accommodation in a riad inside the Medina.
DAY 2 : MARRAKECH - TELOUET -AIT BENHADDOU - SKOURA
After breakfast leave Marrakech and Take on the High Atlas mountains and cross them at 2200 meters high. Shortly after the pass, take the off road and reach pasha's ruined palace and the salt mines of Telouet. Follow the dramatic canyon of Ounila while on the other side of the canyon, the troglodyte grottos can be glimpsed in the distance. Stop and wander around UNESCO world site Ait Benhaddou citadel. Skirt through Ouarzazate and later, reach the palm grove of Skoura. Dinner and accommodation in a lodge at the heart of the palm grove.
DAY 3 : SKOURA - DADES - TINERIR - TODRA GORGES
In the morning, have a guided tour of the palm grove with a local guide and learn about the architecture of the kasbahs, the marriage customs and life in the community. Later, drive through the roses valley and stop to walk by the 300 meters high gorges of Dades. skirt through Tinghir later to arrive in Todra gorges early in the afternoon. Drop off the luggage at the hotel and freshen up then go out to take a walk at the famous Todra gorges. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel at the foot of the gorge.
DAY 4 : TODRA - TINJDAD - RISSANI - ERG CHEBBI DESERT
Afetr breakfast start by visiting a traditional ksour and its ‘wells of light’ in Tinejdad. Reach Rissani and stroll around the Jewish district or the ruins of Sijilmassa. Arrive in Merzouga at the foot of the 300 meters high dunes. Trade the 4x4 for camels and watch the most amazing sunset on the way to your desert camp. Dinner and accommodation in a private luxury tents with ensuite toilet and showers at Erg Chebbi Desert.
DAY 5 : MERZOUGA DESERT
Enjoy your time at the camp, we will leave when you decide that. Spend the day exploring the area. Pry out fossils, have tea with the nomads and try the local 'pizza', join in for a dance with the Gnawa, visit the old mines, scout for rock engravings or pre - Islamic tombs, among others. You can also try quad biking or sand surfing. In the afternoon, go back to the camp for another amazing sunset. Dinner and accommodation as per the previous night.
DAY 6 : ERG CHEBBI - ALNIF - NQOB - ZAGORA
Have breakfast at the camp . Then, hop into the 4x4 and leave the Sahara behind to cross the Anti-Atlas mountains where the verdant palm groves slowly give way to Acacia Forest and we wave goodbye to the dunes. Reach Nqob and have lunch. Later on, take on the Draa Valley and its verdant Palm grove, reach Zagora in the late afternoon. dinner and accommodation in a Kasbah at the heart of the valley.
DAY 7 : ZAGORA- TAMNOUGALT-AGDZ- TAMEDAGHT
Not far from Zagora, the Kasbah of Tamnougalt commands the surroundings with its lofty walls and citadel, having been a major stop for the caravans following their route to Marrakech for centuries. Biblical villages succeed each other, with various tinges of ochre, as the sunlight shifts. Later, enter the gorges and leave the palm grove behind. Cross Ouarzazate and stop at Ait Benhaddou before sunset for photography. Afterwards continue to Tamedaght to reach the quiet village of Tamedaght, where the local kasbah was used as a setting in ‘Gladiator’. Dinner and accommodation in a local Kasbah.
DAY 8 : TAMEDAGHT – TELOUET – TIZI N’TICHKA – MARRAKECH
Early morning visit the gardens nearby the hotel for the best light of photography and exploring kasbah, return to the hotel for breakfast. Then, take on the Ounila valley with its derelict kasbahs and terraced cultures to arrive in Telouet and have lunch in the village to then cross the high Atlas Mountains and reach 2260m high at the famous pass of Tizi N’tichka. Reach Marrakech late afternoon. Dinner and accommodation in a riad inside the Medina.
DAY 9 : MARRAKECH AIRPORT
Depending on your flight, your driver will be there to take you to the airport in Marrakech. You should be there two hours before your flight. End of the tour.
